Kate McCooey, PA-C

Kate McCooey, PA-C, is a physician assistant at Oncology & Hematology Specialists, P.A. A graduate of Tufts University and the UMDNJ Physician Assistant Program at Rutgers University, she has been in clinical practice since 2013 and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Kate is a consistent, trusted presence for OHSNJ patients throughout their treatment journey. She provides initial chemotherapy counseling, ongoing follow-up visits, and comprehensive supportive care for patients with cancer and blood disorders — working closely with the practice's physicians to ensure continuity and compassion at every step.

As an integral part of the OHSNJ care team, Kate helps patients understand their treatment plans, manage side effects, and navigate the day-to-day aspects of oncology and hematology care with confidence and support.

Kate sees patients at OHSNJ's Mountain Lakes office and rounds at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center (Morristown Memorial Hospital) and at Saint Clare's Hospital, Denville and Dover campuses. She speaks English and French.
