Fazal Bari, M.D.

Dr. Fazal Bari is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist who has served patients in Northern New Jersey for over three decades. He completed his medical degree at Dow University of Health Sciences in 1990, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Maimonides Medical Center (1993–1996) and a Hematology & Medical Oncology fellowship, also at Maimonides (1996–1999).

Dr. Bari is well versed in the treatment and care involved in all types of malignancies. He takes pride in listening and approaching all patients as individuals, always factoring in their unique situations — both medical and personal — to arrive at the best treatment options. His particular areas of focus include breast cancer, lung cancer, chronic leukemia, and hematologic blood disorders.

Beyond clinical care, Dr. Bari serves as co-chair of the cancer committee and as a member of the ethics committee at local hospitals. He is an adjunct faculty member at UMDNJ and served as medical director of the compassionate care inpatient unit in Dover from 2010 to 2021.

Dr. Bari sees patients at OHSNJ's Mountain Lakes office and rounds at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center (Morristown Memorial Hospital) and at Saint Clare's Hospital, Denville and Dover campuses. He speaks English, Spanish, and Urdu.
